of Paros, situated at the highest point of the island. Here you will find neoclassical buildings, <strong data-start=\"673\" data-end=\"698\">the House of Literature<\/strong>, <strong data-start=\"703\" data-end=\"736\">Museum of Cycladic Folklore<\/strong>, as well as small tourist shops offering traditional products. In the old houses, many of the traditional wash-houses are still used by local women, preserving the charm of a bygone era. In the central square, next to <strong data-start=\"989\" data-end=\"1010\">the Heroes\u2019 Monument<\/strong>, residents gather to enjoy their coffee and exchange news.<\/p><p data-start=\"1097\" data-end=\"1592\">Along <strong data-start=\"1112\" data-end=\"1122\">Ramnos<\/strong>, the view of the island\u2019s eastern coast is breathtaking. At the end of the street stands the imposing <strong data-start=\"1227\" data-end=\"1257\">Church of the Holy Trinity<\/strong>, built in 1835 from Parian marble. It is a three-aisled basilica with an elevated central nave and two ornate bell towers, masterpieces of Parian marble craftsmanship. The <strong data-start=\"1437\" data-end=\"1452\">Holy Trinity<\/strong> is a protected historic monument and one of Paros\u2019 most significant churches, well worth a visit.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-a718982 e-flex e-con-boxed e-con e-parent\" data-id=\"a718982\" data-element_type=\"container\" data-e-type=\"container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"e-con-inner\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-65e9c3f elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"65e9c3f\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p data-start=\"1594\" data-end=\"1913\">In addition to the Holy Trinity, Lefkes is home to other important religious monuments, such as the <strong data-start=\"1700\" data-end=\"1726\">Church of Panagia of the Presentation<\/strong> or <strong data-start=\"1729\" data-end=\"1753\">\u201cPanagia sta Kelia\"<\/strong>, the Monastery of <strong data-start=\"1772\" data-end=\"1802\">Saint John the Baptist<\/strong>, the chapel of <strong data-start=\"1819\" data-end=\"1837\">Saint Kyriaki<\/strong> in Upper Lefkes, and many small chapels scattered throughout the area.<\/p><p data-start=\"1915\" data-end=\"2345\">The village is always clean, with whitewashed streets and houses adorned with colorful flowers, creating an idyllic landscape that changes with the seasons. Every <strong data-start=\"2080\" data-end=\"2092\">August<\/strong>, Lefkes hosts the <strong data-start=\"2118\" data-end=\"2141\">Festival of Karavola<\/strong>, one of the largest celebrations in the Aegean. The festival includes abundant food, karavoles (large snails cooked in various ways), local wine, live music, and dancing until morning.<\/p><p data-start=\"2347\" data-end=\"2680\">From Lefkes begins the famous <strong data-start=\"2380\" data-end=\"2398\">Byzantine Road<\/strong>, a unique 1,000-year-old marble-paved path, <strong data-start=\"2464\" data-end=\"2483\">3.5 kilometers long<\/strong>, connecting the village with <strong data-start=\"2513\" data-end=\"2525\">Prodromos<\/strong>.
