PAROS – ANTIPAROS HOTELIER ASSOCIATION
Aliki gets its name from the nearby salt pans and is the perfect destination for a family holiday. This picturesque fishing village has developed into a tourist resort, mainly due to its naturally wind-sheltered location and the beautiful “Piso Aliki” – a large beach with small white pebbles and tamarisk trees.
In front of the pier, where fishing boats and some leisure vessels dock, the tavernas serve excellent food, with fish taking center stage. For families, there are cafés, playgrounds, sports fields, and opportunities for nearby excursions to beaches, such as the four small coves of Faranga with their calm waters, ideal for those seeking a quieter and less crowded spot.
The “M. Skiadas” Museum of Cycladic Folklore offers an engaging introduction to the history of Paros, the Aegean, and its traditions. Regardless of when you choose to spend your summer holidays, you may find yourself attending one of Aliki’s three local festivals: Saint John of Kleidon in June, the Savior (August 6), and the Cross on September 14.
