Prodromos, Paros…
Authentic tradition, tranquility, and traditional hospitality in the heart of the island.

Prodromos is a picturesque, small settlement located close to Lefkes. Perched at an elevation, it offers visitors stunning views and a peaceful atmosphere, making it an ideal destination for those seeking the authenticity and tradition of Paros. Its name comes from the Church of Saint John the Forerunner, built here 60 years ago, although the settlement was formerly known as “Dragoulas.”

Prodromos is distinguished by its snow-white houses and narrow, picturesque alleys, showcasing traditional Cycladic architecture. To truly experience the village, a walk through the impressive arched gateway connecting the churches of Saint Spyridon and Saint Nicholas is enough. The village has preserved its charm, offering visitors the chance to enjoy local meze and coffee in traditional cafés, while the well-kept Parian houses with their tidy courtyards create an atmospheric setting.

On the outskirts of the settlement, traditional windmills—some renovated and inhabited—add even more charm, linking the past with the present. A highlight of Prodromos is the annual festival held on June 23rd, offering visitors an opportunity to experience the village’s authentic tradition and hospitality.
