PAROS – ANTIPAROS HOTELIER ASSOCIATION

Kite Surf

Kitesurfing – the sport that draws enthusiasts from all over the world to Paros!

The island is famous for its ideal conditions for both windsurfing and kitesurfing, especially at Golden Beach and Pounta Beach, where international competitions are held. The islands also offer diving, snorkeling, and kayaking, giving visitors the chance to explore hidden coves and turquoise waters. Sailing trips around Paros, Antiparos, and the nearby islets reveal untouched beaches and impressive sea caves.

Wind-Surfing

For sea sports enthusiasts, and especially windsurfing lovers, Paros is a true paradise. Here, the summer “meltemi” wind is particularly favorable for sailing activities, while all other conditions are ideal as well: easy access, excellent infrastructure, services, and surf clubs that provide every possible facility (equipment rental, lessons for beginners and advanced surfers, rescue boats), along with beaches suited to all levels (beginners to champions). Golden Beach and New Golden Beach (Tserdakia) take the lead as the most organized, followed by Logaras and Piso Livadi. The vast sandy stretch of Golden Beach, one of the most beautiful on the island, is especially suitable both for learning and for high-level surfing, featuring two fully equipped surf clubs.

At New Golden Beach lies the oldest surf club in Paros, which for many years organized the annual P.W.A. (Professional Windsurfers Association) World Championship – the only professional competition held in Greece.

The ideal conditions of the beach, both athletically and in terms of infrastructure and organization, established it as an official competition venue of the Federation, ranking among the top three worldwide.

New Golden Beach was also an intermediate stop and the finishing point of the annual windsurfing marathon “Odyssey.”

Today, the area is firmly established among windsurfing fans, who consistently express their enthusiasm and love for our beautiful island.

Diving

During your stay in Paros, we recommend taking some diving lessons or going snorkeling to explore the island’s underwater beauty. You can discover caves and rocky formations, and encounter rare species of fish and marine life.
